EDU 302.1 : School Internship phase 1 / weekly reflection / week 4

21/11/2022

Today I reached the school at 9.10a.m. I had two periods today. In the morning session, I went to 8.G and taught the next three paragraphs of the story, The Nightingale and the Rose. I used powerpoint presentation to introduce the topic and profile writing was given as the group activity. Students performed well in the group activity and I motivated them for their efforts. Then in the eighth period ii continued to teach the remaining paragraphs of the story and used powerpoint presentation effectively in the classroom. Students’ feedback was satisfactory and I observed that ICT classrooms are more effective and student friendly.

22/11/2022

Today I reached the school at 9.20a.m. I had two periods for today. In the first period, I went to 8.G and taught them the next paragraphs from the story, the Nightingale and the Rose. The Students were excited when I taught about the significant and emotional events of the story. More importance was given to the vocabulary section and students managed to perform well in the group activity. . The student interaction was remarkable.

Today I reached the school at 9.10a.m. Then in the second period, I went to 8.G for my regular class and after a small chat with pupils, I start teaching the lesson.I used powerpoint presentation for the introduction and group activity.They performed well in the activity session and the student involvement was good throughout the class.

24/11/2022

Today I reached the school at 9:10 Am.In the second period, as usual I went to 8.B and taught the next paragraphs of the story. I used flash cards and charts as teaching aids in the classroom.

25/11/2022

Today I reaced the school at 9:00 Am. In the third period I went to 8B for substitution class. Afternoon I have class in 8G. I taught next paragraph of the story. I used PowerPoint presentation and character description was given in group activity.
